“Comp” is an abbreviation for the word composite. Composite means made up of separate parts or elements.  Model comp photography is a photography session with a model or prospective model for the purpose of achieving a diverse, impressive and complete composite portfolio. It is important to contract a photographer who is skilled at working with inexperienced as well as experienced models. Several photographs are done with a variety of poses, settings, styles, effects and stages of dress to enhance the talents of the subject.   The most representative and desirable images, usually 5 or 6, are then complied in an effective layout for the purpose of advertisement and promotion. This comp card also contains essential model information such as: height, weight, body measurements, eye color, hair color, dress size, name, and contact information.
